About PacketKit

What is PacketKit for?

PacketKit helps you fill out official California court forms, and some federal ones, yourself. You type your details once and they fill every form you open. You can check the forms for blank fields and private information, download the filled PDFs, and keep your case papers and dates in one place.

What doesn't PacketKit do?

It doesn't give legal advice, decide which forms, claims or defenses are right for you, file papers with the court, or serve them. It isn't a law firm or a Legal Document Assistant. For advice about your situation, talk to a lawyer, your court's self-help center or a legal aid organization.

Do I need to upload forms?

No. The official Judicial Council forms open right inside PacketKit: pick your situation or search for a form, then choose Start. You only add a PDF from your phone or computer to fill a form PacketKit doesn't have, or one you already started somewhere else.

Where is my information saved?

In your own browser, on this device. What you type isn't sent to PacketKit. Use Save backup on My cases to keep a copy or move to another device, and Erase all data to remove everything.

What if I leave the page by accident?

Your answers are saved as you type. Open packetkit.org/app again on the same device and browser to pick up where you left off.

Is PacketKit free?

Yes, during early access, with no card required.
